Infrastructure Projects

Road work will begin early July for the two following projects :

Vincent Massey Park

Building rehabilitation has begun in Vincent Massey Park. In addition to the building work, the NCC is also doing lifecycle rehabilitation of the landscape which involves removing honeysuckles, an invasive species, pines that are diseased and smaller trees in the courtyard that are at the end of their lifecycle. This work, to begin in the next few weeks, will also be supplemented in the Fall by the planting of 140 trees as part of the forest regeneration activities of the NCC. The introduction of new ‘indigenous’ plants will also help reinstate the original landscape of Vincent Massey Park and play into its heritage designation.
